When an abnormal load lives up to its name
in every sense
Transporting an aircraft fuselage through the streets of Breda is not something you see every day. For this project, Transpico handled the abnormal load transport of a Boeing 737 fuselage to a dismantling company.
What looks like spectacle to outsiders is really precision in motion.

Every abnormal load starts long before the truck moves. For this project, the dimensions, weight, centre of gravity and stability of the fuselage were carefully assessed in advance. The fuselage was then loaded and secured with precision, ready for safe and balanced transport.

Then it was time to move. In an urban setting, abnormal load transport depends on careful route planning, permits and tight coordination. Step by step, the fuselage moved through the streets of Breda, with every movement fully controlled.

Once on site, the fuselage was unloaded and positioned with precision. Everything was set exactly where it needed to be, so dismantling could start safely and on schedule.
