Hydroforming press
140 tons of precision work
For a metalworking company in Grimbergen, Transpico was responsible for the transport and installation of a 140-ton hydroforming press. The system was manufactured in Turkey and transported to Belgium in parts, with the heaviest component weighing 42 tons.
From transport to assembly: every single step was planned in advance and carefully coordinated to match the available space and assembly sequence.

A combination of machinery was deployed to hoist the components. The lighter parts, weighing up to approximately 30 tons, were positioned using a 60T pick-and-carry crane, which provided the necessary flexibility to smoothly manipulate the parts within the available space.
For the heaviest component, weighing 42 tons, a 200T gantry system was used.
This combination provided flexibility where needed and maximum stability during the critical lifts.

Transpico organized the entire transport from Turkey, including all customs formalities.
Work on-site was carried out according to a detailed plan. Every component was delivered and positioned at exactly the right moment, carefully coordinated with the assembly sequence and the available space in the workshop.

The press was assembled and aligned step by step. The heaviest component was carefully placed on top of the assembly using the gantry system, ensuring complete control throughout the process.
Through continuous adjustments and exact positioning, the entire system was assembled correctly, right down to the millimeter.
The result: a perfectly installed hydroforming press, ready for use in the production environment.
